Player Inventory System 0.0.5 alpha


This one is a video blog, but basically there are a bunch of functions working that were broken last week. Not mentioned in the video is how much of the code was tossed out and rewritten. If you don't know this project started almost five years ago as port of a bigger project that never went anywhere. So I languished and got poked at every now and then as I worked it in to other games. This resulted in some very messy code. Well all that mess is not mostly gone. There was a ton of duplicated functionality. Multiple ways to achive the same thing in the code and all doing it in through different methods. Messy! This weeks update fixes that and hopefully brings this project a big step closer to being useful again.

Seeing the interest in this project has given me some drive I've been missing for a while. I want to see this finished and people using it. I have two 'systems' that are in differing states of completion that I think Indy dev's will be able to put to use. If only the code base were presentable.

Anyways I hope this video gives you an idea of what this system can do and its current state of development.
