Ard'af

My entry into the 2021 Dungeon Crawler Game Jam. Ard'af: It's not meant to be easy!

This is a keep it simple dungeon crawler... well in the end. Lack of time has forced me to cut many of the features that I set out to include from the start. Still, it's a dungeon grinder that requires the player to work his way through a set of maze-like dungeons fighting zombies and trolls.

Many aspects of the game are random and are generated at runtime. This includes the player stats which are generated when the game launches. Player stats and items are saved between levels only. The player must complete the level to save. If the player dies he will restart the level.

The stats of the mobs are also randomly generated at runtime, within limited ranges. As well as lighting and traps, each 'room' or cell of the maze has a random value generated for it that is used to calculate mob and player attack randoms during combat. So if you find you not doing any damaging move away and re-engage from another angle and you may or may not have better luck.

Mouse and keyboard can be used to navigate the mazes. I would recommend using a gamepad instead.
