Setting the Mood...


After a few hours of work, I have the basics of what will be each room/cell on the grid.  This is a screenshot of a single room with its main lights off. Don't want to give too much away. ahah

These are smart rooms that configure themselves based on their position on the map. Going retro on that part and using pixel maps to plan things out in PNG files and generating the environment at run time. I'm a coder more than an artist so I'm relying on assets I can get from elsewhere and putting my best skillset forward. Now that I have the prefabs for the rooms and a basic pallet to design the levels in photoshop I can work on the generation of the maps next. Got real-world work early tomorrow so only a couple more hours left on this tonight. I'll post more when I have something to show.
